Our surgeon Asim Shahmalak took part in a wonderful interview with BBC Radio Manchester this week.
Dr Shahmalak was interviewed on the excellent Sam Walker show on Wednesday (January 8) morning.
You can listen to the broadcast here - the main interview with Dr Shahmalak starts at 1.57 minutes into the show.
Asim spoke about his work at Crown Clinic and how 90% of his patients are men seeking hair transplants.
He has also pioneered new surgical techniques in the UK for eyelash and eyebrow transplants.
Dr Shahmalak also spoke in detail about his forthcoming trip to Pakistan to help victims of acid attacks.
You can read more about the trip here:
Over three days, Dr Shahmalak - along with a team from Crown Clinic - will be operating on six women and one man in his native Pakistan who have been attacked in this way.
Our surgeon is funding the trip entirely out of his own pocket because he is keen to give something back to the community where he first trained as a doctor.
Sam Walker described Asim as an 'incredible man' who is doing an 'amazing thing' in helping these people so selflessly. We certainly wouldn't disagree with that judgement.
Asim will be back on the Sam Walker show to talk about how the trip went when he returns from Pakistan.
It's worth keeping an eye out for lots of media reports on the trip in the next month or so.
