Hugh Hunk! Les Miserables Star Jackman Tops Crown Clinic Poll

POSTED: 05 March 2013

We loved the movie version of the hit musical Les Miserables here at Crown Clinic.

Its star Hugh Jackman has a fine beard and is rarely clean shaven.

That got us thinking about a new poll - which movie star has the sexiest facial hair (beard, stubble or moustache)?

And, with so many struggling to grow a full beard, which star has the least sexy?

The results from the 1,000 people we surveyed were fascinating.

Hugh Jackman was the runaway winner, followed by Hangover star Bradley Cooper and our own David Beckham in third.

Bradley Wiggins came in seventh, with lots of men and women loving his bushy sideburns.

Brad Pitt, perhaps a little surprisingly, topped the poll for the least sexy facial hair (we think his goatee was to blame; not a good look, Brad).

The poll - released just before the Oscars - made us headlines all over the world.

CNN, Cosmopolitan Daily Mail, Daily Express and papers and huge websites like Yahoo and MSN in more than 60 countries picked up on it.

Our own Dr Shahmalak made the important point that many men simply can't grow the beards, moustaches or sideburns they crave.

He said: "For many men, growing a beard or designer stubble defines their masculinity.

"Men want to look like their heroes. Sadly they can't always naturally grow a perfect beard like Hugh Jackman or have bushy sideburns like Bradley Wiggins.

"They will often have patches in their facial hair.

"That is where a transplant clinic like ours can help - we can fill in their gaps and help men to get the look they desire."

The Crown Clinic saw a surge in demand for sideburn and beard transplants in the last 18 months, thanks to the phenomenal success of Bradley Wiggins.

It is a very simple procedure: hair is taken from the back or the sides of the head and transplanted into the sideburn or the beard area.

It can do wonders for a man's confidence.

We will be dong a further survey in the next few weeks - and we hope that it also gets such an ecstatic reaction.
