How to keep your brows fuller for longer

POSTED: 05 June 2017

Like hairstyles, eyebrows shift and move through trends throughout every decade. Where once the thin, over-plucked look was all the rage, now women prefer a thicker and more natural look for their brows.

The biggest issue when it comes to eyebrows is that once they have been over plucked, they can be difficult to regrow to their former glory. Our brows can dramatically change the overall appearance of our face, so if you’re struggling to get them to look thicker, here are a few tips and tricks to keep your brows fuller for longer.

Tidy up the shape without over plucking

Just like growing out a bad haircut, we must go through the ‘awkward’ stage when growing out our brows. Try and leave your brows alone for as long as possible. You can always fill in your brows in the meantime, to give them shape and help them look less untamed.

Once you’ve grown your brows out and you’ve noticed hair appearing in sparse areas, head to a beautician and let them tidy up any unruly hairs. However, make it clear which areas you are still wanting to grow out; you don’t want them undoing all your hard work.

Apply natural remedies

Applying natural oils to the brows can help to give them an extra nutritional kick, encouraging them to grow healthier and thicker over time. Castor Oil and Coconut Oil are filled with various proteins and fatty acids. The combination of nutrients and moisturising qualities of these can help to keep brows strong.

Again, be careful how you apply the oil. Make sure you aren’t scrubbing or rubbing the oil too hard, as this could cause hairs to be pulled out.

Revitabrow

Revitabrow is a hair loss treatment specifically designed for brows that are sparse or damaged. Much like the natural oils, Revitabrow uses a number of different conditioning and nourishing qualities to keep brows thicker and stronger. This is a daily treatment to help give your brows the best foundation in order for them to grow effectively. It can also help to enhance the appearance of your brows, using cosmetic ingredients to give eyebrows a fuller and thicker look.

If you’ve done everything you can think of and you’re still having no luck in getting the full and thick brows of your dreams, then why not pop into Crown Clinic for a consultation. We can take a look and assess your situation, helping to give you the best and potentially the most effective solution possible.
