Beards are most definitely back in fashion.

From Ben Affleck and George Clooney to Hugh Jackman, Sam Mendes and Joaquin Phoenix, it seems that every celebrity male has joined the beard brigade.

This latest trend is reflected in this great article here on Mail Online:

It also points to the health benefits of having a fuzzy face, such as heightened protection again sun damage and skin cancer.

Of course, not all men have enough facial hair to grow a full beard.

And that is where we can help at the Crown Clinic with a hair transplant - taking hair from the back or the side of the head to bolster facial hair.

We treat a number of men each year who need help to with their beards or side burns.

These procedures became particularly popular this summer when Bradley Wiggins  - with a fine pair of sideburns - became the golden boy of the Olympics and the Tour De France.

Lots of men have contacted us about getting the Wiggo look.

You can see how effective this kind of hair transplant is by reading about the transplant our surgeon Dr Asim Shahmalak provided for this patient.

He was thrilled with his new look - and is now able to grow proper sideburns for the first time in his life.
