The Best Hair Loss Products

POSTED: 15 August 2013

For many men if they see signs of their hair thinning, or falling out, they will want to act immediately to prevent any further hair loss and from going bald. However, for many, a hair transplant seems like the final straw due to cost of the procedure and often, hoping that it does not get to that stage. Therefore they turn to many hair loss products hoping that they will do their hair justice.

We see more and more products being released on the market advertising the brand to solve many of your hair issues, saying that they can prevent split ends, make your hair thicker, shinier, with some products saying that they can aid in preventing hair loss. But which of these actually work? Which products have proven to work and be successful against other competitors?

There are many reasons why people may experience hair loss, some more severe than others, but if noticed early on there may be a way to diminish the severity of the outcome.

The products that we stock and we believe to be the best are Minoxidil, or known by its product name, Rogaine. The good thing about this product is that it can come in various strengths. You are able to buy the product over the counter in weaker concentrations or stronger depending on your requirement, but best to consult with a doctor before opting for the strongest concentration. This product has been recognised as being far more effective in Women than Men however that is not to say that it will not work for some men. Directed straight to the scalp it is effective as part of a treatment programme, often devised by a hair specialist. It is believed to help best with stopping hair loss, as opposed to regenerating hair.

We also stock Finasteride, these are tablets which help treat androgenetic alopecia. These are only available under prescription and cannot be bought over the counter in a similar fashion to Rogaine. However Finasteride helps stimulate scalp hair follicles without affecting any testosterone levels and can only be used by men.

There are many more hair loss products available, all of various uses, for men and women. Whatever it is you require, speak to a hair loss specialist and if spotted early on you can help fix to some extent your hair loss worries.
