• Nutritional deficiencies. We all know the importance of nutrition for good health, but it can actually affect hair loss too—malnourishment or deficiencies of protein and iron can often be a cause, and crash diets have been known to play a role in hair loss too.
How to cope
Given the various hidden causes of hair loss, it’s often worth heading to your doctor to see if you can rule anything out. Taking a look at your diet, for example, might be worthwhile and running a few medical tests could be beneficial too, and keeping an eye on your stress levels would be another way to go.
