The condition for this young lady was an obssessive compulsive disorder called Trichotillomania – a condition that made her want to pull out her eye lashes from the age of 6 and stopped at the age of 14.  She realised that she had no eye lashes which would give her an obvious feminine look.

She was desperate to have something done for her eye lashes and was even prepared to go across the atlantic for an eye lash transplant.

After extensive research she came across me and after a thorough consultation I offered her an opportunity to have the first eye lash transplant procedure in the UK.

She had a 4 hour procedure under local anaesthesia and came back for a review frequently from 3 days, 10 days, 2 weeks, 6 weeks and finally 3 months.

When she attended after 3 months she had an excellent result and was over the moon and informed me that I had changed her life.

I feel very proud to have performed the first successful eye lash transplant in the country and be able to change someone’s life forever.

Til to date I have performed  further eye lash transplants and still remain to be the only eye lash transplant surgeon in the UK.
